23rd Annual Mill Creek Cleanup

The Mill Creek Yacht Club will host its 23rd annual stream cleanup from Evendale to Lockland on Friday, April 21st. To celebrate the upcoming Earth Day, the Mill Creek Yacht Club and other enthusiastic volunteers will collect litter in and along the stream, beautifying the stretch of Mill Creek from Evendae to Lockland. The Council is grateful for all volunteers. Last year we had around 25 people participate, including volunteers from P&G and J.M. Smucker! Space in canoes is limited and available to members of the public age 18 or older. All are welcome to participate in the land-based portion of the cleanup along the stream banks! For more information and to register, click on the link below.

Happy Earth Day!

Thank you to those who volunteered! Including the Mill Creek Yacht Club, employees of J.M. Smucker's, Procter & Gamble, Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District, and area residents. We picked the Mill Creek and surrounding banks and streets clean from Etter's Custom Golf Center in Evendale to Vorhees Park in Reading!
A big shout-out to Enerfab, who connected us with their very generous friends at West Chester Protective Gear, who in turn made a very generous donation of rough-and-tumble work gloves to the Council just in time for the 23rd Annual Cleanup by Canoe (and Land!) in Evendale, Reading and Lockland. We’re thrilled to be able to use these gloves over and over for our many volunteer events throughout the year and many years to come.
