Wildermuth Grand Opening

Wildermuth Grand Opening Tour

The Wildermuth Stream and Floodplain Wetland Restoration was completed in 2014 to provide enhanced flood storage, reduce nutrient loads, and improve habitat and water quality at a 29-acre site in West Chester Township. The Council hosted the Wildermuth Grand Opening Tour on Thursday, April 30. We were joined by representatives from West Chester Township, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, United States Environmental Protection Agency, Butler County Water & Sewer Department, watershed communities, universities, businesses, and interested residents. Brian Kwiatkowski and Craig Straub from APEX were excellent guides on the project features. Thank you to all attendees for your interest in restoration along the Mill Creek.

If you are interested in seeing the project or volunteering for future maintenance events contact Kara Scheerhorn at kscheerhorn@millcreekwatershed.org
