Our Corporate Partners Make a Difference for All Who Live and Work in the Watershed

With the support of our corporate partners in 2017, we were able to:

  • Coordinate with Kao Brands, our Corporate Partner at the Admiral Level, a major, full-day cleanup at Caldwell Park, both within the stream and on the banks. This included invasive removal, trash pickup, trail clearing, weeding, and sweeping the stream.
  • Lead a volunteer planting day at Stearns Woods, one of our project sites, with our Commodore Level partners, Pilot Chemical. Volunteers from Pilot Chemical planted close to 200 small trees and shrubs.
  • Conduct two major public Mill Creek cleanups, one in the spring and one in autumn, respectively: the 23rd Annual Mill Creek Cleanup in Evendale, Reading, and Lockland and the Upper Mill Creek Cleanup in Sharonville, West Chester, and Springdale.
  • Organize a total of seven Urban Stream Adventures: four were open to the public and three were reserved for students at Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati to experience the wonder of the Mill Creek.
  • Host other annual recreational events such as the West Fork Mill Creek Walk in February and the Wildflower Walk in April.

why become a corporate partner?

Your business is well-served by having a healthy, stable workforce that enjoys a high quality of life where they live and work. The Mill Creek is part of what makes, and will continue to make, Greater Cincinnati an attractive place to live and do business. The Council supports initiatives that pay off in the form of water quality improvement, recreational amenities, higher property values, and reduced flooding.

The following businesses stand out as stewards of our shared water resource. We very much appreciate the support of our Corporate Partners and look forward to continuing these collaborations.
