What does the assistance center do?

 

The Regional Watershed Assistance Center (RWAC)'s goal is to work on behalf of the watershed’s communities, businesses, and residents to improve conditions of the Mill Creek.  The RWAC implements projects that include stream and habitat restoration, flood mitigation, streambank stabilization, natural stormwater solutions, and invasive species control.  The Mill Creek RWAC draws on the extensive experience of Mill Creek Watershed Council of Communities staff to successfully manage these projects from conceptual design through construction and monitoring.  Staff’s experience and licensure includes herbicide application, floodplain management, landscape architecture, and grant writing.
